Welcome to the first edition of the DOZ biannual newsletter for 2011, In this issue, we are delighted to share with you our thoughts on our successful completion of four years.

At the outset, I would like to thank all of you and our business partners for helping us arrive at this milestone with a sense of fulfilment and renewed strength of purpose. The highlight of the celebrations was the launch of an exclusive report in collaboration with Frost & Sullivan titled 'Outsourcing Opportunities in the MENA Region'.

This report raised the profile of the region and reversed the underestimated perceptions of its potential when compared to global counterparts. It is indeed an exciting time for the outsourcing sector. The industry is embarking on a growth path with global revenues projected to touch US$479.3 billion by 2016 from its current US$370 billion.

Complementing its growth in the region, the outsourcing sector is making a corresponding impact across all sectors. Similarly, DOZ also forged stronger ties with Indian ICT companies to woo IT professionals to the free zone by participating at the NASSCOM Leadership Forum 2011 in the beginning of the year.

DOZ will continue to gain momentum from these market developments and work towards attracting additional investors to the zone this year. Until the next issue with more strategic announcements to share.
