DOZ Introduces Computer Recycling Drive

 In collaboration with Dubai Municipality, DOZ introduced a recycling drive, urging all business partners of Dubai Outsource Zone, DuBiotech, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Healthcare City to donate their used computer hardware. An appeal was made to ‘Act Today’ and contribute to the environment. Laptops, desk monitors, central processing units (CPUs), printers, scanners, etc. were collected by the DOZ team and the collected hardware was dispatched to the Dubai Municipality Refurbishment Centre for repairs and updgrade. The Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Foundation then handed over the refurbished devices to educational and charitable institutions in the UAE and abroad.

Dunia Helps Organize National Blood Donation Drives

 As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, Dunia, a business partner of Dubai Outsource Zone facilitated the organization of a series of blood donation drives in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The drive took place at three different locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, highlighting Dunia’s commitment to give back to the community. Members of all TECOM Business Parks were encouraged to participate by volunteering at the dunia financial centres. The drives were held in collaboration with ‘Shaikh Khalifa Medical City Blood Bank’ in Abu Dhabi and ‘The Blood Donation Centre’ in Al Wasl Hospital in Dubai with an aim to meet a shortage of blood for children suffering from Thalassemiai. Over 200 people contributed in the drive, including a large percentage of customers, employees as well as donors from across the UAE. During the drive,90,900ml of blood was collected, which in total constitutes to 1,010 lives being saved, according to estimates made by the Al Wasl Blood Donation Centre.

Dunia Art Exhibition Inaugurated

 Dunia Finance, a Dubai Outsource Zone business partner, hosted an elite art exhibition for the general public at its Abu Dhabi and Dubai branches, which displayed works from international artists including iconic Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali and Pakistani painter Ismail Gulgee. The exhibition was inaugurated during an opening event that took place at the Dunia Media City Financial Centre. Along with the striking artwork displayed at the branch, renowned artist, Maskoor Raza dazzled the audience with a 20 minute display of live painting featuring his iconic horses. UAE-based artists Khalifa and Tanya Ashraf, whose artwork are currently on display, also attended the inaugural function. The exhibition also showcased the works of several influential artists including Jamil Naqsh, Sadequain, Owais Husain, Farrukh Shahab, and Mansur Aye.

Making a difference: du launches 'Drop of Life' campaign

 As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts and to assist the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in increasing the number of blood donations and donors in the Emirates, du organized a campaign titled "Drop of Life". du launched the initiative in collaboration with the Blood Donation Centre at Al Wasl Hospital in Dubai, the only blood bank in the Emirate that provides blood to Thalassemia patients. 'Drop of Life' was a resounding success with 268 people who came together to give back to the community.

DOZ hosts gala dinner for business partners

 In continuation of 4th Anniversary celebrations, DOZ hosted a gala dinner for its business partners at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray hotel at The Palm Jumeirah. The dinner acted as a perfect opportunity for DOZ to show its appreciation to its partners and highlight DOZ’s success in the past 4 years. Malek Al Malek addressed his distinguished guests and, with the help of Lindsay Macdonald, revealed the findings of the report “Outsourcing Opportunities in the MENA Region” The evening was a great success and an ideal way for DOZ to celebrate reaching the 4 year mark.
